These gloves are a good item, but anyone in blackwing lair probably already has prophecy gloves from molten core, which are actually a lot better. So not even factoring in the extra 3 intellect, the 7 fire resist, and the 18 heal power, prophecy is already a better item. So basically the 17 spirit is less powerful than the 6 mana regen unless you are not casting many heals and therefore are out of five second rule for a fairly large portion of the fight. This equates to 10.625 mana per 5 seconds. Outside of five second rule, it is 4.25 mana per 2 seconds. This equates to 3.1875 mana per 5 seconds. What happens if you take off your prophecy gloves for these?ġ7 spirit is 1.275 per 2 seconds while you are in 5 second rule IF you have 3 peices of trans AND meditation. Having meditation and 3 peices of transcendance can make spirit a pretty godly stat. I'm saying that for a tight raiding crew where you want loot to be distributed efficiently and fairly a Priest should pass on these and wait to get the superior Prophecy item.Ĭomment by ThottbotFirst off, spirit is an extremely good stat for a priest and it does not diminish after 300. I'm not saying you can't 'roll' if you are a priest or that you don't 'deserve' the item. The Shamen set bonuses are good for healing so I suspect that only Druids and Paladins would realy be interested.
