![]() The Mac Mini (2nd floor) has an additional MoCA from the coax and the ethernet from MoCA to the Mac Mini. I installed, following the MoCA instructions, from the coax in the wall to a splitter (MoCA and to the modem), then an ethernet from MoCA to the open port on the modem. The connection is extremely slow and cuts out, that is the reason that I wanted to investigate MoCA. It currently is connected via the WIFI Extender 5Ghz network and achieving approximately 30 mbps. The computer (Mac Mini) that I would like to connect via MoCA adapters is located on the 2nd floor of the home. I have many smart devices (Phillips Hue, Apple Home, Ring Cameras, etc.) connected to a Netgear AC1200 Dual Band WIFI Range Extender.Īll of these smart devices are connected to the 2.4 Ghz network of the WIFI Extender and most of the devices are located on the 2nd floor of the home.
